We are UB40 featuring Ali Campbell, the founding member and lead singer of UB40. Ali left the original band in 2008 followed by Mickey Virtue citing management issues and was vindicated when said managers were struck off. Ali was then reunited with Astro when he left the original band in 2013 due to further mismanagement. Ali and Astro took the world by storm, captivating audiences everywhere they went, releasing three new albums together reaching number 2 in the UK charts. Heartbreakingly, Astro passed away after a very short illness in November 2021 after they’d finished their incredible fourth album – Unprecedented.

Ali and the Band on top form, his voice is still amazing. For me the downside on the night was the support. I would of loved to see someone like hollie cook or a few reggae bands. Not the two sets of djs. The poster advertising the gig said special guests. Nothing special in what we got.(for me) But UB40 TOP TOP NIGHT.

UB40 certainly lived up to expectations! Such a fun night!!!! So many great old songs and loved the new songs too. Atmosphere was fantastic!!!

Big Grown Ass people fussing & fighting so off putting after travelling so far to see them. Rain was definitely not the issue. Would definitely not return to Cardiff
