unpeople, a project brimming with energy, and impassioned animosity with the state of the world and its effects on humanity. A 4-piece made up of guitarists Jake Crawford and Luke Caley, alongside bassist Em Lodge and drummer Richard Rayner all with a mission to combine earnest lyricism and hefty riffs with catchy melodies and luscious harmonies. In April 2024, the band released their first offering – a self-titled EP – to high praise from the likes of Metal Hammer (‘UK metal’s most promising first impression of 2024’) and Distorted Sound (‘arena-worthy hooks… hellacious screams… gloriously heavy guitars’). unpeople are also nominated for Best UK Breakthrough Artist at last year’s Heavy Music Awards. All 3 singles from the unpeople EP plus latest offering ‘the garden’ have received BBC Radio 1 support from the likes of Daniel P. Carter, Alyx Holcombe and Jack Saunders, who described their sound as ‘leaving battle scars on your mind… unpeople are the extreme feelings in life’. Outside of the UK, the band have been added to Radio Freccia Italy’s Top 20 playlist on two different tracks and MTV Italy’s ‘New Zone’ Chart, as well as receiving plays for multiple songs on Sirius/XM Octane in the US and Triple J in Australia. Following a debut London headline show at the end of 2024 which sold out in a day, unpeople are kicking off 2025 supporting VUKOVI in the UK and Europe, before a busy Summer of festivals in the UK and beyond, including Germany’s Rock Am Ring, plus many more to be announced. The root of the band's cause is in the name - unpeople - meaning a group of people considered to be politically unimportant or of no value. A determination to channel their discontent into songs that speak directly to other ‘unpeople’. We are unpeople. You are unpeople. We are all unpeople.
