Umbra Summi Nobis es un grupo de Metal Alternativo, formado en 2008 en Caracas - Venezuela, que mezcla dos voces femeninas: una lírica y otra con influencias del heavy metal. La temática de sus composiciones se centra en leyendas universales, vivencias y en el tema ecológico. Se nutren de diversos géneros musicales: metal sinfónico, gótico, música clásica, new age, rock clásico y progresivo, heavy metal y algunos toques de folklore latinoamericano. Las agrupaciones que los han influenciado son: Epica, Within Temptation, Nightwish, Evanescence, Lacuna Coil, The Gathering, After Forever, Amberian Dawn, Dream Theater, The Doors, Janis Joplin, etc. Su EP «Las Primeras Leyendas» (2010), fue producido de forma independiente. Consta de cuatro (4) temas originales y un (1) intro. Han ganado dos veces consecutivas (2010 y 2011) el concurso «Free! Music! Contest» organizado por Musikpirat (Alemania). Su tema «Nebulosa» fue incluído en el CD Compilatorio «Sampler 2010» y «The enchanted» en el correspondiente al 2011;además Musikpirat los seleccionó como banda del mes (Enero 2011). Participaron también en «The Battle of The Bands 2010» organizada por la revista Alemana «Sonic Seducer», luego de ser escogido su tema «The enchanted» entre los mejores 30 temas concursantes y encartado en el «Cold Hands Seduction Vol. 113» (Sonic Seducer Enclosure Issue 12/10-01/11). Estuvieron postulados para el festival esloveno «Metalcamp». Seleccionados como banda del mes (Marzo 2011), en el site más importante del metal del país «Venezuela Metal». Fueron escogidos como teloneros en el 1er concierto en Caracas de la banda pionera del metal gótico mexicano «Anabantha».
