Brisbane, Australia's Violent Soho revive the fuzzed-out rock of the early '90s, borrowing Weezer's crunchy guitars and Nirvana's distortion-coated hooks. Featuring guitarists/vocalists Luke Boerdam and James Tidswell, bassist Luke Henery, and drummer Michael Richards, the band formed in 2004 and have since released three albums. Their most recent, ‘WACO’ debuted at #1 on the Australian Album chart and achieved gold sales (35,000+). It spurred them onto 3 completely sold out tours of Australia (the last of which saw them sell out Brisbane’s iconic Riverstage & Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion) as well as a run of dates in North America. WACO contains the gold selling singles ‘Like Soda’ and ‘Viceroy’. The band also won two ARIA awards for Best Rock Album and Best Group at the 2016 ARIA awards from their five nominations. A staple of the Australian music landscape and revered live act they have appeared at major Australian festivals Including Splendour In The Grass, Groovin The Moo and Falls Festival among many others. “It may have taken a decade for Violent Soho to break through, but if WACO is any indication, their climb isn’t anywhere near over.” - Rolling Stone.
