Will Wood and the Tapeworms (WWATT) was a musical project created by Will Wood, which began with his debut album "Everything is a Lot" in 2015 and the recording of the followup "SELF-iSH" mere months later. Wood primarily tours solo as a songwriter and comedian, and Covid-19 and other factors pushed him to shift the focus of his musical projects, starting with "The Normal Album" in 2020. Much of the lineup from most of WWATT's live history continue to work together. WWATT has reunited to celebrate their 10-year anniversary, dedicating a limited run of North American shows to their second and final studio album. WWATT was known underground in the punk scene for their high-energy and eccentric rock concerts, which would infamously include circus performers, audience participation, bloodshed, and an unwavering commitment to kayfabe. The lineup varied significantly between albums and featured a wide variety of live instrumentalists, but their concerts almost always featured Mike Bottiglieri on guitar, Mario Conte on drums, and Matthew Berger on saxophone, with DJ Scully on bass in its most recent incarnation, and Will Wood fronting on keyboard.
