The Black Atlantic is a band from the Netherlands formed around singer and songwriter Geert van der Velde. Debut album Reverence for Fallen Trees was released in August, 2009. Follow-up EP Darkling, I Listen was released in January, 2012. van der Velde is currently writing and recording a new The Black Atlantic record.
