New York based band Blues Traveler formed in 1988, led by John Popper (main songwriter, singer, harmonica) along with Chan Kinchla (guitar), the late Bobby Sheehan (bass) and Brendan Hill (drums), came up as part of the 1990’s jam band revival that was influenced by the psychedelic rock, blues and soul bands of the 1960’s and ‘70’s. The band released three foundation-building albums before breaking into the mainstream with their fourth, aptly titled, Four, in 1994. The album included the hit single “Hook”, which reached #23 on the Billboard Hot 100, and the band’s biggest hit “Run-Around”, which reached #8, spent nearly one year on the charts, won a Grammy Award for best Rock Performance and helped the album sell 6x platinum. The band originated the H.O.R.D.E. festival, which marked the second wave of jam band music gatherings and ran for 6 years, fostering musical diversity and community of like-minded bands while giving exposure to various charity organizations. John Popper and the band have recorded a string of subsequent albums and maintained a loyal cult-like following since.

Awesome band, awesome show. Big Head Todd and The Monsters were great as well. Blues Traveler is an amazing live act. These guys nailed it, John Popper is incredible and the whole band is dead on the money. Hope to see them again soon and hope they play some of the hits they haven’t performed live in some time.
CEFCU Center Stage at The Landing Peoria, ILAs always John and the band kicked ass...they never disappoint The surprise for me though was Jewel..wow...what a little powerhouse...amazing voice...she has a new fan for sure...and Train..eh..they were a little to tiny bopperish for me...to top 40...good show great band but confetti and streamers is a bit to childish for me...I'm there for music not a carnival
Cellairis Amphitheatre at Lakewood Atlanta, GAOne of the best Blues Traveler show in years. This was number 36. Saw them last year at Redrocks. I got Brendan and Tad to sign my BT giant guitar pick. Cool venue except they had no beer. Being a winery they only sold wine and we sat on fold up chairs.
Rodney Strong Vineyards Healdsburg, CAI've been following these bands for years. Had a crush on Jewel for years and love how Train is just feel good music! Shoot, even had some great times in Florida with Mr. John Popper himself!!!(back in the early 2000's). Def a great show, great audience and the best music!!!
Riverbend Music Center Cincinnati, OHI have waited almost 30 years to catch them play live and it was worth the wait. They sound great. Very energetic band (maybe outside of Popper). John Popper’s voice is a talent. Just a fun jam band full of blues show!
