Crack the Sky is a 1970s band from Steubenville, Ohio (later adopted by Baltimore area radio), which released nearly 30 albums over the years. Their self-titled debut garnered the "Album of the Year" award from Rolling Stone magazine. Always a fan favorite, they provide an interesting amalgam of alternative and progressive rock, complete with complex arrangments, a wide dynamic range, and thought-provoking lyrics and a wide and sometimes bizarre variety of topics. Crack the Sky continues writing and performing shows with 4 of the original 5 original band members. They are about to embark on their 50th anniversary tour series in 2025.
