The Singer/Songwriter – Following on from his sell-out Meltdown performance Boy George, universally recognised as one of our generation's most iconic artists, is back with his first new studio album of original material in almost two decades. ‘This Is What I Do’ is to be released on 28th October and will be supported by live dates in the UK. Tickets are now on sale. ‘This Is What I Do’ is produced by Richie Stevens (Soul II Soul, Tina Turner, Simply Red, Culture Club) and mixed by Dave Bascombe (Tears For Fears, Depeche Mode, Pendulum, Doves) and features brand new songs written by Boy George. The album features many guest musicians, some of whom are expected to appear as George’s band on his live dates. Boy George needs little introduction. With a career spanning over 30 years he first shot to international stardom in the 1980’s as the front man of one of the UK’s biggest exports - Culture Club - and had continued success as a solo artist. He has sold over 150 million records with top 10 hits in every country. However it is his new album, ‘This Is What I Do’, that reinforces his love for writing & singing. The DJ – Boy George is universally recognised as one of the music scenes most iconic artists and for the past 30 years has maintained a strong position at the forefront of this ever-changing, multi-faceted industry. With an ever-expanding and prolific musical output, his presence as a DJ and producer continues to attract high praise from the scene’s most revered tastemakers and media outlets. A DJ since the late 70’s, Boy George has had a long and successful career associated with house music stemming from early acid house and Chicago grooves in the 80’s, through to electro and tech house in the 90’s and 00’s. One of the Top 100 DJ's in the world for nearly 25 years, his travel commitments have seen him pack out events in over 75 countries around the world at powerhouse venues like Amnesia in Ibiza, Ministry of Sound in London, Zouk in Singapore, Pacha in New York and Guvernment in Toronto. Over the years George’s studio work has been released on imprints like Subliminal, HotFingers, Stealth, Sony, Universal and EMI, while his list of collaborations includes artists such as Mark Ronson, Erick Morillo, Deep Dish, Afrika Bambaataa, DJ Yoda, Roger Sanchez, Faithless, Marc Vedo and Groove Armada.

Berlin and Howard Jones were in fine voice and played the songs people wanted to hear. Culture Club don’t sound as good anymore. Boys voice isn’t what it used to be and only played some of their hits. 2 out of 3 ain’t bad so overall the show was enjoyable.

Culture Club, w 3 original members and some new blood, pits on a great show. Boy George rocks at a slower pace these days but is still a consummate stage performer. Church of the Poison Minds was a standout, as was the cover of the Stones’ Sympathy for the Devil.

Boy George was terrific but Squeeze stole the show. They were absolutely amazing. Still can sing just as well as he did in the 80s and the band was awesome. Slap and Tickle definitely the highlight. Loved Goodbye Girl with the peddle steel and accordion!

Great show! Boy George and his band were in top form. Enjoyed all the Culture Club classics, the covers of Purple Rain and I'm Your Man. Wished he was on longer-he only played for about an hour. It was a great show.

Boy George is awesome! It is a dream come true. I used to see him on MTV in the 80’s and I was so excited to see him perform live. I wish he sang more songs. I wanted to hear ‘Move Away’. Love him!
