About Currents
CURRENTS is the new standard for death-infused metalcore. This is emotionally fraught and impossibly angry music soaked in cold, depressive atmosphere. CURRENTS explore the forbidden realms of a tortured psyche, searching for meaning amidst uncertain chaos and venom. Heartache, physical abuse, abandonment, trauma – no dark emotion is spared examination. CURRENTS also turn their gaze outward, offering no mercy to man-made catastrophes like climate change and animal abuse. An exploitative system that inflicts such harm upon humanity and the entire world will not be spared the wrath within this explosive, weaponized bombast. The Way It Ends, the second full-length from the Connecticut bruisers, is a thematic and spiritual successor to their dense, bludgeoning, and smartly constructed full-length debut, The Place I Feel Safest (2017), and a direct follow-up to the blistering and diverse EP, I Let The Devil In (2018). Those well-versed in Meshuggah, Humanity’s Last Breath, Vildhjarta, and Architects have embraced CURRENTS with full-throated passion. A combination of their contemporaries and influences, channeled through unique perspective and personal experience, resulted in something revolutionary. It’s why they were handpicked for tours with August Burns Red, As I Lay Dying, We Came As Romans, Fit For A King, Born Of Osiris, and the Impericon Never Say Die! Tour. As New Noise declared: “CURRENTS is a band not to be ignored.”

The venue is new so it is nice and clean. Currents was sooo awesome live. Their voices sound just as good in person as in the studio. The band was amazing and I would love to see them again! Love that the singer is also the screamer! He was so good.

Wasn't sure what to expect, as Ive never been to a show like this before but currents is arguably my favorite band of the genre. I was really impressed by both the music quality live and the energy they had. I will be seeing this band again any opportunity I have!

Massive devoted crowd and show was upgraded to the Fillmore. Great setlist, improved sound compared to when they opened for MMF and parkway drive here earlier in the year. Some of the arrangements such as Unfamiliar are extremely ambitious to perform but he band aced it- Respect!

Had a great time. The venue is kinda lame tho. No smoking section/place for fresh air. The AC seemed to turn on and off sporadically. The sound could've been better. I'd prefer the vocals to come through clearer. Other than that it was an awesome show.

Show was great but the vocals could hardly be heard. Backing vocals were louder than main vocals. This was the same when I saw Currents with Amity Affliction last month at Hard Rock Live. Hope the sound guy see's this

considering half the band's didn't show. mostly the ones I went to see. It's wasn't the greatest but enterprise earth and within the ruins both killed it! even with a guest vocalist, he was brutal!
