GRAMMY nominated, Capitol recording artist, Danny Gokey became a favorite of millions of fans as a top 3 finalist on season 8 of American Idol. In 2010, Gokey released his debut album, My Best Days, which garnered record first-week retail and digital album sales for a male debut artist in his musical genre and peaked at number four on the Billboard 200 albums chart. In 2014, Danny released his second album, Hope in Front of Me, debuting at number one on Billboard Christian Airplay Chart. His single, “Hope in Front of Me”, topped the Billboard Christian Airplay, Mediabase Christian Adult Contemporary, and Billboard Christian AC Songs Charts. “Tell Your Heart to Beat Again” earned RIAA Gold Certification in May 2018. Danny’s Christmas Album, Christmas Is Here, and his most recent studio album, Rise, (released in 2017) also debuted at number on the Billboard charts and garnered the chart movers, “Rise”, “The Comeback”, “Masterpiece” and “If You Ain’t In It”. Danny has earned multiple award nominations, including American Country Awards’ New/Breakthrough Artist of the Year, GMA Dove Awards’ New Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Contemporary Christian Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Christmas Album of the Year, Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year, and Pop/Contemporary Song of the Year, and GRAMMY Awards’ Best Contemporary Christian Music Album among several others. Danny is the founder of Better Than I Found It, formerly known as Sophia’s Heart, a nonprofit organization established to support & encourage organizations who are committed to making a difference in their world or community to go to the next level for exponential impact. I didn't get to go to the concert I purchased two tickets in July but both me and my husband were really sick on Sunday October 9th I tried to give my tickets away but nobody wanted them I have been waiting for a long time for Danny Gokey to come close enough for me to see him in concert and I was to sick to even go. I pray that he will come back again soon so I will have a chance to see him in concert. The bad thing is I can't get a refund for the tickets. May God continue to bless you Amen 🙏 I heard the show was awesome.
Christian Life Assembly Camp Hill, PAI came for Tauren Wells and stayed for Danny Gokey. I was happy to listen to Tauren in concert and I was interested in Danny, but man, Danny’s voice and showmanship and messages blew me away! Was not expecting such a genuine experience. It was really neat to have Danny get so vulnerable about his OCD and overcoming it with God. I felt very connected. All the artists were awesome. Such good lyrics. The only thing I would strongly recommend is putting the lyrics up on the visuals so folks can sing along and really “hear” the words. They’re very special and what makes these songs and artists so unique in today’s world.
Maverik Center- The Hope Encounter West Valley City, UTThe concert was great although there were definitely issues. This is a big church with no pitch to the floor. The man in front of me was a very large 6'2" gentleman and his back was my view for the evening except for the few moments the crowd was seated. There were hanging screens that could have been used and I would have been able to see something. The stage was back-lit with no real light source in the front and that was odd. The sound was also very echoed and distorted. It was hard to understand the talking. I'm sure the church will dial these things in. It just felt a bit amateur.
Goodwill Church Montgomery, NYAaammaaazziinngg! Venue was spacious and gracious, very easy parking too. All 3 artists were totally on fire that night with powerful vocals paralleled by equally powerful, uplifting, bare-your-soul-speak-the- truth- in- love ❤️🙏 kinda testimonies and ministry our world desperately needs right now. There are no words for the vibe in that sanctuary as many people of all ages and walks of life bravely received God as their savior and maybe for the first time in their lives allowed themselves to bask in his love and light!!!! Amen! Thanks to the church, support ministry and truly amazing musical artists (love you DG!)for the night of compassion and love! Blessings to all of you!
Christian Life Center Bensalem, PAIt was wonderful, so uplifting. All 3 of the artists were great. My best friend and I go to 2 to 3 concerts a year, sometimes to big arena concerts and at least 1 like Sunday, that we call worship and praise concerts. We love them all and we loved seeing Danny, Austin and Natalye and we definitely went home feeling lifted up. Thank you to all that make these concerts available and affordable. Our young christian artists have quite a calling on their lives and we are blessed by their willingness to follow the Lord and spread his word. Cherie N.
