Elder is a genre-pushing rock band that melds heavy psychedelic sounds with progressive elements and evocative soundscapes. Formed in a small coastal town in Massachusetts in the mid aughts, the band has reinvented their sound over the course of five albums to grow from a stalwart of the stoner/doom scene into one of the most unique voices in the rock underground. Their long-scale compositions unfold as journeys, running the gamut of styles from the 70’s to the present within a single song with a penchant for “sheer gatefold-era grandeur” (Rolling Stone).

Wow. And I mean wow. I have gotten to see this band 3 different times in 3 different cities. And wow. This is a band to see live and enjoy live. The sounds is SOOO GOOD. The live versions are flawless. My new favorite band.
Underground Arts Philadelphia, PAThis band never disappoints. This was the 10th anniversary of their album “Lore” and they absolutely slayed it, giving a little extra in terms of soloing. We even got to see “Dead Roots” and “Halcyon”. If you haven’t seen them live, treat yourself to this experience!
Ottobar Baltimore, MDIt was amazing! Jack was off sick due to pneumonia so they didn't have bass for some of their songs, and only had one guitar for some of the others, but they blew the roof off anyway! The sound shook the whole building!
Roseland Theater Portland, ORTonight was a treat...Nick told us before they started that his voice was messed up due to an infection...not that his vocals are bad, but he couldn't really sing...so he just amped up the guitar playing and man what a show!!!!
Conduit Winter Park, FLThey put on a hell of a show. Parts of it, like their catalog, was crushing, while parts were almost jam-like bliss. Opening acts were also good and fit the theme - psych and metal.
