Beats by Esko: de tag die een generatie hiphopfans meteen herkent. Stacey Walroud, beter bekend als Esko, is producer die dubbel platina-hits afleverde als ‘Hey Meisje’, ‘Ride or Die’ en ‘C’est La Vie’ en heeft met vrijwel elke artiest uit de game samengewerkt, met name Josylvio, Sevn Alias en Jack. Maar wie denkt dat hij alleen achter de knoppen staat, vergeet dat Esko altijd al rapte. Met zijn eigen label Van Klasse, 101Barz-sessies met miljoenen views en het succesvolle debuutalbum Feniks (2021) zette Esko zich stevig op de kaart. Tegelijkertijd kende hij een grillig pad: een moeilijke jeugd en periodes van depressie en burn-out na het succes. In 2024 volgde het tweede album Taboe, waarin hij deze thema’s bespreekt. In oktober verschijnt zijn derde album, met daarop de reeds uitgebrachte singles ‘Theezakjes’ (met Jack) en ‘Gebroken Harten’. Het album is de aanloop naar een nieuwe, energieke liveshow, die eerder met succes werd getest tijdens een uitverkochte show in Amsterdam. Esko Live is een concept waarin zijn oeuvre, ongetwijfeld gastartiesten en Esko’s kenmerkende sound samenkomen.
