About The Farm
The Farm are a legendary band from Liverpool, UK, known for their energetic blend of indie rock, dance, and socially conscious lyrics. Formed in 1983, the band became one of the defining voices of the Madchester and baggy scenes of the late 1980s and early 1990s. Their debut album, Spartacus, was released in March 1991 and soared to the top of the UK Albums Chart. It features two standout tracks, "Groovy Train" and "All Together Now," both of which became top 10 singles in 1990. "All Together Now," in particular, has become an anthem for unity, inspired by the Christmas truce during World War I. In 2012, The Farm embarked on their Spartacus Live tour, revisiting their iconic debut album with live performances. That same year, they joined forces with other artists as part of The Justice Tonight Band, supporting The Stone Roses during their landmark gigs at Heaton Park, Phoenix Park, and shows in Lyon and Milan. The band also contributed to The Justice Collective, whose rendition of "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother" became the 2012 Christmas number one in the UK. The single was a charity effort supporting the families of the victims of the Hillsborough disaster, a cause close to The Farm's heart as proud Liverpudlians. Even decades after their peak chart success, The Farm's music remains influential, celebrated for its timeless messages of solidarity and hope.
