Troyal Garth Brooks (born February 7, 1962 in Tulsa, Oklahoma) is an American country music singer songwriter and charity director. Brooks was a phenomenal musical force in the 1990s. He had his chart breakthrough in 1989, having come apparently from nowhere, and was an immediate commercial success. Lacking the tall and lanky physical appearance typical of some male country stars, he successfully integrated pop and rock elements into his recordings and live performances. He soon began to dominate the country singles and country albums charts and quickly crossed over into the mainstream pop arena, selling records like no one else in country music ever had and exposing country music to a larger audience than previously thought possible. Brooks enjoyed one of the most successful careers in popular music history, with over 70 hit singles and 15 charted albums to his credit and over 115 million albums sold in the US alone, breaking records for both sales and concert attendance throughout the 1990s. Possibly dissatisfied and looking to expand his career boundaries, he then attempted an artistically ambitious (but uncompleted) multimedia project involving a fictitious alter ego. Troubled by the conflicts between career and family, the year after the decade ended Garth Brooks announced his retirement from recording and performing, thereby disappearing from the music world as suddenly as he had come. To his many fans the world over, he remains a legend. Now in 2007 he's thinking of a come back, but wil not tour before 2015 so he said in a interview.

FANtastic! AWEsome! No one puts on a show like GARTH BROOKS!!!! I am a rock show person but truly no one holds a candle to Garth! The sound was the best I've ever experienced, and I go to hundreds of shows! T-shirt prices are $25 and up. Super great deal compared to other acts charging $40 or more! I rate it a 10/10!!!!
Bank of America Stadium Charlotte, NCConcert was great but stadium was too crowded, concessions, restrooms and parking was a nightmare!! Was expecting Calling Baton Rouge to be played twice which was a let down. And tickets indicated concert was to start at 7pm and did not start until 8:15 pm and under the extremely crowded conditions this made fans miserable!!!
Tiger Stadium Baton Rouge, LAAmazing show- one of the best- If not THE best I have ever been to (and I go to concerts all of the time). Grew up listening to Garth and was able to check this off of my bucket list!! If you have not been - it is a must see !!! Wonderful entertainer, humble, full of surprises !!!
Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium Fayetteville, ARSecurity did a good job keeping the front isles clear so the ones who bought the higher priced tickets could actually see. Parking was tight. But, we found a private lot and parked close. The way they did wrist bands was not smoothe at all. We kept getting redirected to get to the right place to get the bands.
Protective Stadium Birmingham, ALGarth was your typical Garth show, but disappointing that he does not make an effort to have a quality lineup. On the same night in Kansas City, George Strait had Chris Stapleton, Little Big Town and Parker McCollum. Garth had Matt Rossi (played 3 covers, nothing original) and as always Trisha.
