Jordan Hawkins is a multifaceted musician who combines his skills as a guitarist, singer, songwriter, and producer. He pushes past traditional genre labels with a self-described "Electric Soul" sound — a dynamic fusion of R&B, rock, blues, and soul, powered by live instrumentation and intricate musicianship. Raised in Greensboro, North Carolina, Jordan's church choir roots sparked his musical passion, inspiring him to become a better vocalist and learn to play instruments. He first learned piano, then took a keen interest in guitar after being gifted his first Epiphone around the age of eleven. In adulthood he initially studied economics to become an investment banker, but pivoted after an intense summer internship and reading "Success Secrets of Black Millionaires." Jordan realized passion is the key to success, compelling him to follow his true love for music. He set up a studio in his Pomona College dorm room in California, immersing himself in the Los Angeles music scene, playing countless local shows, and establishing himself as a seasoned musician and performer. At the core of Jordan's music lies his extraordinary guitar mastery, setting him apart in the contemporary R&B scene. His guitar is a powerful extension of his artistry, weaving intricate stories and evoking emotion even when he's not singing. Vulnerability and authentic storytelling fuel his work, allowing him to shatter genre boundaries and explore new creative horizons. When he steps on stage, audiences are treated to an all-encompassing experience where his talent, passion, and authenticity create an atmosphere that invites listeners into an intimate connection with the music. Drawing inspiration from musical icons like Jimi Hendrix, D'Angelo, and Prince, Jordan's songwriting navigates themes of heartbreak, personal growth, and introspection, combining captivating rock elements with his R&B roots. Singles including "Crazy" and "Emotions" have been backed by an electric live performance on On The Radar and a fiery, in-your-face visualizer shot in LA. He has toured with SAINt JHN, performed "Super Power" for A COLORS SHOW, and been featured by Fender. Now working independently, he is building his next body of work on his own terms — with the live show at the center of it.
