Lunarsea Tour Dates and Upcoming Concerts

ORIGIN: 2003 The band arose from the ashes of the power-prog band called HOLLOWEARTH, among whose members there were Fabiano Romagnoli, the founder of the current band. 2003 is the year of the first demo titled “EVOLUTION PLAN.TXT” and suddenly after a year in 2004 is the moment of the second self produced demo “BIO ASHES HALO”. After that the band got suddenly in touch with the greek label Burning Star Records to record the first full-length, and thus 2006 was the year of “HYDRODYNAMIC WAVE”. The debut album was very well welcomed by audience and the media, even though a strange fact: the most of those in the know used the slogan “band come out from nowhere” remarking the fact that the first deal and consequent debut album came without having never played live on stage! Really a mere studio band! HYDRODYNAMIC WAVE became the very best seller of the label and then a promotional tour in Greece occurred, where the band played four times, including the Metal Healing Festival in Xanthi, in which Lunarsea had the chance to share the stage with other great names of the European metal scene. Then the band realized their first official video for the song “Beside The Driver”. In 2008 the band began to work at the second album titled “ROUTE CODE SELECTOR”, released in 2009 thanks to the Italian label Punishment18records, that recruited the band after listening the first album. The second album from Italy's finest melodic death metal band, is a step up from their already very impressive debut. [“This is how the stuff should be played: with power, with atmosphere, with melody and plenty of ferocity and energy!” *reviews hits].Then a second video was shot for the song “Metamorphine” and this time too, this new band effort was well welcomed by the media. Thus the band decided to dedicate itself to live activity, after the realization of two demos and two full-lengths, during the first 6 years of life. 2010 saw the release of the first unofficial DVD of the band, shot in 2009 during the Nihil Extreme Festival of Milan. In 2012 the band came back to work on their third new studio album and renewed the collaboration with PUNISHMENT18RECORDS which acquired all rights of the first album and decided to reissue the first two albums, availing the collaboration of European distributors, and, for the very first time, American distributor thanks to Century Media, which catalogued both cds in its official store. On 2013 The Third Album has been released, entitled “HUNDRED LIGHT YEARS”, Recorded at Outer Sound Studios and Mastered by Mika Jussila at Finnvox Studios, with the collaboration of some precious and talented guests such as: Tim Charles (voice and violin of NE OBLIVISCARIS), Tom Nitfield (german producer), Emanuele Casali (DGM), Martin Minor (german pianist). “HUNDRED LIGHT YEARS” received super reviews all over the globe and all Lunarsea Discography has been added to Century Media on-Line shop. The album was completly sold-out and a second release on a digipack format has been released as well. On 2015 Lunarsea released a video documentary celebrating their first 10 years of activity with interviews-live footage and more,followed by several live gigs to continue the promotion of “HUNDRED LIGH YEARS”. On 2018 the band got the opportunity to play as direct support for Orphaned Land on their European tour, made up of 15 dates around Europe. After that, the band start to write new materials for their fourth studio album. The band enter Outer Sound Studios in Rome on August 2019 for a massive 45 recording days session. The new album called “EARTHLING-TERRESTRE” was released on December 2019 by Punishment18 Records and became available worldwide on 31 January 2020 by label physical distributors., followed by the release of the E.P called “THE FOURTH MAGNETAR” on the same year. “EARTHLING-TERRESTRE” was included as one of the TOP 2020 Melodic Death Metal album from several webzine as well as great reviews all over. The new effort was mastered as well by Mika Jussila at Finnvox Studios, with the collaboration of Dario Tartagni(Synth), Valentina Gargano(Choirs),Emanuele Casali and the cover/layout was design by SaberCore23artStudio that worked also for Netflix,Universal,Roadrunner and more. LUNARSEA shared the stage with great and famous band like IN FLAMES,ARCH ENEMY,DARK TRANQUILLITY, BLIND GUARDIAN,MOONSPELL, EXODUS, RAGE, DEATH D.T.A., IMPALED NAZARENE, FIREWIND, PRIMAL FEAR, PRIMORDIAL, SWALLOW THE SUN, INSOMNIUM, OBSCURA, DARKANE, NARGAROTH, EKTOMORF, SINISTER, SEPTIC FLESH, ABORTED, DARK FUNERAL, CARPATHIAN FOREST, THE HAUNTED, SEPTIC FLESH,ORPHANED LAND (Direct Support on 14 dates across europe) and so on, and could count on the collaboration with Kick Agency, Machada Promotion, Alkemist Fanatix,Rock,Alpha Omega Management,Rock On Agency and Nadir Rock to promote and organize their events. Very important to remember is the participation of Lunarsea to “Where Death Is Most Alive Tour”, when the band won the contest directly organized by Century Media to open the gigs of Bologna and Rome during the tour of Dark Tranquillity and Insomnium in October 2010. During their carreer Lunarsea took part in a lot of festivals around Europe, like GODS OF METAL,MASTERS OF ROCK METAL HEALING FESTIVAL, NIHIL EXTREME FESTIVAL, TOTAL METAL FESTIVAL,BASINFIRE FEST,VAGOS METAL FEST,CHANIA FEST etc . Elements such as growling, screaming ,clean vocals, blast beat , synths , and tipically power-prog riffs are the core and the peculiarity of Lunarsea style and soul. The band was one of the first Italian MDM to perform in INDIA on January 2024 at the established WORLD FEST took place on Chennai, followed by gigs in DUBAI-VIETNAM-JAPAN-SOUTH KOREA as part of their first ASIAN TOUR. After 2 years of forced stop due to COVID, on 2023, LUNARSEA start a massive live activities to promote the album “EARTHLING/TERRESTRE” and celebrating their 20 years activity. The new and seventh official release of the band called “ELEMENTI – Live in Tokyo” is planned to be released on late 2025, anticipated by a brand new single called “AQUEDUCTS – Live in Seoul”.
