Nickelback is a canadian music group from Hanna, Alberta whose brand of radio friendly rock was helped early on in their career by 99.3 The Fox, a Vancouver based rock station that holds a competition each year for local bands to gain exposure. Nickelback was the winner in 1999. Other winners have included Matthew Good, Default, and Faber. Founded by Chad Kroeger as a tribute band, Chad's brother Mike Kroeger (bass), cousin Ryan Vikedal (drums), and Ryan Peake (guitar) joined Nickelback while Chad began to write his own music. They recorded a demo album "Hesher" and toured over Canada. Their name is said to derive from Starbucks that Mike worked at, where he frequently had to give a nickel back as change. In 2007 their singles "Leader of Men" and "Breathe" (from their fourth album, "The State") were received well, and this was reflected in national charts. Their next three albums ("Silver Side Up," "The Long Road," and "All The Right Reasons") all hit number one in the Canadian charts, with the latter also reaching number one in the United States. Also in Europe they've become famous. After their single "How You Remind Me" they climbed to position 2 in the national German charts; their international breakthrough was established. In 2005, Daniel Adair became the new drummer after Ryan Vikedal left the band.

Nickelback, Brantley Gilbert, and Josh Ross live on a Tuesday night was absolutely awesome! A hot humid Tuesday night met three amazing acts live in Charlotte, NC. The show kicked a$$ from start to finish. From the great setlists to the firepower and explosions on the stage left the fans craving more. The reunion of all three acts to perform Steve Earle's "Copperhead Road" was one of the highlights of the show. For anyone who lies about hating Nickelback should see the crowd on a work / school night as the place was packed. Even after a 17 to 18 setlist for Nickelback the fans were screaming for more. I only wished they would have played longer as the show wrapped up around 10:45 pm which was a surprise in my opinion. However, the show was great no matter. Rock on to all three great acts.
PNC Music Pavilion Charlotte, NCIt was my first time going to the Hollywood Amphitheater and it was really awesome, I didn't expect how much lawn space there was!! Or the variety of options for drinks there were. Tried the lawn chairs and they were surprisingly comfortable!! I went to see Nickelback my favorite band and they didn't disappoint live! They were phenomenal and I absolutely loved the concert!! We also were impressed with Chad being up front with his struggles with his singing right now, just made me appreciate the show more with the effort he put in for the show to go on ❤️ His improvising others singing or allowing the crowd to sing for him made it more intimate and made us feel included 😀 My first Nickelback concert and I'll forever remember this!! An amazing experience!!! 😇
Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre Maryland Heights, MOI took my mom for her birthday that year she was saying that she could not afford to go so I threw my debit card at her and said "you raised me on this band and you have always wanted to see them so let's go" and we purchased the tickets for the party zone because my mom got impulsive and just went for it... the only time it ever rains in Cheyenne is when the Cheyenne Frontier Days are happening because my poor mother and I got soaked from head to toe just going to the concert and we were not dry until the next day. It was during their new realese of the album Feed the Machine and I had so much fun... lover of the band for 24 years
Cheyenne Frontier Nights Cheyenne, WYTook my daughter to her 1st rock concert for her 16th birthday.....she wanted something special that she would never forget.....well,she got it×100! Fucking fabulous 👌 👏 👍 😍 💖 what a wonderful experience for her and I to share together! My hats off to everyone that perfectly and awesomely performed! Oh, ...and btw now she is married, to the guitar player from nickleback, as she so simply informed me of.Ha!ok kiddo, maybe in a few more years but not yet ....thanks to you all for puting on such a great show and helping me make the best of memories with my kid! Chad kroeger your awesomeness, and, a nice eye candy to watch , to say the least😘

Who invited this Trump supporting Cover Band to the show? Half the songs his band sang were covers! I came to listen to good music. not be part of a cult's wannabe live show. Nickelback!! Awesome as ever! This was my 15th show across 3 countries, 2 continents, and god knows how many states. Ya'll put on a great show that is fun, entertaining, and personable. PS. Chad, find a better class of band to tour with. We deserve better, do better. I thought Canadians understood that Trump is an asshat!
