About Nile
Hailing from Greenville, South Carolina, and Athens, Greece, Nile has been a pioneering force in the death metal scene since 1993. Nile is known for their complex compositions and their highly demanding brand of technical death metal playing both on albums and on the stage. Their thematic focus is on ancient Egyptian history and mythology, along with a healthy dose of H.P. Lovecraft lore. Nile’s intricate musical style combines brutal riffs, intense drumming, and esoteric lyrics, which has earned them a reputation for both technical prowess and historical depth. Their discography includes many influential albums such as Amongst the Catacombs of Nephren-Ka (1998), Annihilation of the Wicked (2005), and Vile Nilotic Rites (2019). Every Nile album holds its own unique character, leading many long-time fans to pick a "favorite", which is always challenged by the next latest release. Their relentless touring and groundbreaking sound have cemented their status as a cornerstone of the death metal genre. Nile released their highly anticipated 10th studio album "The Underworld Awaits us All" on August 23rd, 2024 via Napalm Records to much acclaim.

The show was incredible! Terrorizer, I had never seen them before but, it was an honor to see such a legendary band play. They blew me away, for sure. Nile was just as amazing, without a doubt. I'm looking forward to seeing them again.

It’s always disturbing to see Six Feet Under and watch Barnes do that eeeee stuff, no energy at all. Psychotic had tons of energy. Nile always kills.

They crushed along with Six Feet Under. Just pure raw metal served on a big plate. Psycroptic was awesome too. Missed the first band. Love The Abbey
