ONS is ’n splinternuwe Afrikaanse duo, wat uit twee TUKS - studente bestaan. Marco van Deventer, ook bekend vir sy suksesvolle sosiale-mediablad, “Wees ‘n man,” en Ruvé Erasmus, het vir die eerste keer aandag getrek toe dié twee saam TikTok-video’s begin maak het. Dit was egter Ruvé se broer se idee dat die twee – sy suster en sy pel – saam moet sing. Toe Marco en Ruvé mekaar eindelik by die einste broer se 21ste verjaardag ontmoet, besluit hulle om saam koffie te gaan drink om te gesels oor Ruvé se broer se voorstel. Kort daarna het hulle die sosiale-mediawêreld betree onder die naam ‘ONS’, en die res is soos hulle sê geskiedenis. Marco erken vol selfvertroue dat hy in die musiekgroep geglo het van die eerste minuut af (en vir Ruvé moes oortuig vir weke lank), maar bly is dat hy volhard het, want hulle eerste liedjie “Daai Liedjie,” is pas vrygestel.
