It was amazing. I was honestly surprised to experience the intimacy created on stage with a great large group of musicians and a very large audience of a couple of thousands heads. Of course one’s voice sounds different at the age of 84 than in the early days, yet it was appropriate in the setting of intimacy.
AFAS Live Amsterdam, NetherlandsPaul was best with the least accompaniment from his band. His voice is remarkable for an 83 year-old singer. Ravinia is a terrible venue and the “improvements” have not helped. It is difficult to get to the park, into the park, around the park once inside.
Ravinia Festival Highland Park, ILPaul Simon is a living legend. To see him in person for my first time was a dream come true. He is not only an amazing musician but a poet, a singer - songwriter but a humanitarian. Wishing him a long and happy life.
