Rayvon Owen smoothly, and seemingly effortlessly, brings authenticity and emotion to his lyrical narrative and melodies. On Valentine’s Day in 2015, he released the music video for his first post-Idol single, “Can’t Fight It,” alongside an exclusive Billboard interview in which he bravely came out as gay. Together with its stripped version, the Can’t Fight It era has surpassed nearly 2 million streams across platforms, marking the beginning of a career defined by both artistry and honesty. Later that same year, he released his EP Air and earned the L.A. Music Awards’ “Rising Star” title.
