About Ryan Adams
Ryan Adams has been praised as "one of rock's most talented songwriters” (SPIN). The 7-time Grammy nominated artist has 16 studio albums to his name, accumulating in millions of sales. He has produced albums for esteemed musicians including Willie Nelson, Jesse Malin, Jenny Lewis and has collaborated with some of music’s most influential artists such as Weezer, Fall Out Boy, America and many more. Ryan’s profound contributions to music have taken many different forms. From his songwriting, to his producing, to fronting the rock/alternative country band Whiskeytown, and forming, “Ryan Adams & The Cardinals,” his ability to connect with audiences across a variety of different mediums is undeniable. Adams’ musical creativity was recognized early on and led to his NME Best Solo Artist win in both 2003 and 2004. In addition to his self-titled, double-Grammy-nominated 2014 album, Ryan’s catalogue includes Heartbreaker, Ashes & Fire, Easy Tiger, Cold Roses, Jacksonville City Nights, Love Is Hell, his 2001 major label debut Gold, and more. Ryan’s artistry is not limited to his songwriting capabilities. In 2009, he published Infinity Blues, a book of free verse poetry about his journey to self-realization, and Hello Sunshine, a collection of poems and short stories. Ryan’s passion for writing continues, and he is currently working on his first novel. His music has spanned multiple musical genres, and has been incorporated in film and television specials such as Judd Apatow’s top grossing production Bridesmaids, This is 40, popular HBO TV series’ True Blood and Felicity, and his song, ‘Stay Alive’ appeared in The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, starring Ben Stiller. In November 2014, Ryan performed a two-night engagement at New York’s famed Carnegie Hall, which turned into a critically acclaimed live album on PAX-AM records, a label specifically for his music releases. Ryan is widely known for his powerful shows performed all over the world and regarded for his prolific songwriting. He has been praised by iconic music legends such as Elton John and Noel Gallagher. Adams currently resides in Los Angeles, California with his five cats, typewriter, and coffee machine.

I enjoyed every second of the show. Attended the first concert (Newcastle) as well, and I was surprised the set lid was rather different. My girlfriend (who didn’t want to accompany me to the UK) noticed that she couldn’t see the artist she was listening to. she isn’t a hard core fan. But even so, she liked the concert. And of course, I did!

He performed for over 3 hours & was engaging & personable. He was funny while interacting with the crowd or between songs. There were some disruptions but he managed it without allowing it to disrupt the performance or shorten it. As a loyal supporter of Ryan Adams I was very happy to have witnessed him for over 3 hours from 8 rows back.

Venue was good, security was good, audience was good. Ryan was AWESOME!! just a few minutes shy of a three hour show. Only the second time seeing him and he was like he was before, funny, witty and the performance top notch. He played a piano version of Somewhere Over The Rainbow and it was BEAUTIFUL! Looking forward to seeing him again.

Ryan and the Cardinals were in top form as they played with passion and energy despite rain falling the entire show. The band had a funky vibe which was fueled by Don Was on bass guitar. Ryan was humorous and engaged with the crowd throughout the show. Highly recommend seeing Ryan and the Cardinals on this tour.

Incredible! Ryan backed by an amazing band was quite a show. Deep cuts from the Cardinals catalog reimagined for a live stage act, super creative and beautiful. Ryan was a true rock star, flexing his guitar skills for us all. The light show was great too. I wish I could see it again! Come back to Raleigh soon

Excellent show! I found the presentation to be excellent with the stage setup, including the minimal lighting. The voice and musicianship was professional. As Adams catalog grows, there may be songs left out, but the song selection was all anyone could hope. I found Adams to be very engaging, and enjoyed the intimate performance.

Absolutely amazing the crowd was rambunctious to say the least but Ryan kept it chill and cranked out 32 songs I wish I could go to all of his concerts he’s a special special artist. I consider him to be one of the best American songwriters ever and his voice is tonal perfection!

I love Ryan, but WTF. Anyone who was there will understand. You literally had to be there to see or really not see it. Stage was basically blacked out. If I wanted to just hear a concert I could listen to the radio. Come on Ryan, stop the selfishness.

Ryan is a legend and a genius. Made us laugh and cry- so many feelings!!! I truly hope he continues to tour and share himself with us. The audience in Boulder, tho, is one I will avoid in the future. People don’t need to attract attention- let the star be the star.

Great show!! The audio was so clear and Ryan sounded fantastic. It’s a lot of work to do a solo performance and Ryan’s show was stellar. He’s so quick witted and funny in his stage banter. Very glad he’s touring again and grateful he played Eugene. Thanks Ryan!! Come back soon please!!
