In the spirit of the renowned Johnny Cash/Rick Rubin collaborations, Russ’s latest album, “Cover Story” will be released Jan 31, 2025. The brainchild of producers Steve Taylor and John Mark Painter, the project features carefully curated mainstream songs that chronicle Russ’s long road to redemption. Taff’s trademark vocals are artfully paired with music by the likes of U2, Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, Prince, Bob Dylan, and Paul Simon. The end result is a creative benchmark and spiritual tour de force in Taff’s already storied career. With six Grammy awards, 18 Dove awards, and induction into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame an unprecedented three times, RUSS TAFF has been hailed by Billboard magazine as "the single most electrifying voice in Christian music." This son of a fire-breathing Pentecostal father and Gospel music-loving mother garnered national attention as the lead singer of two legendary Christian music groups, the Imperials and the Gaither Vocal Band but is perhaps best known for his work as a solo artist behind such celebrated albums as "Medals," "Russ Taff" and "The Way Home.” Russ’s award-winning 2018 autobiographical documentary, “Russ-Taff—I Still Believe” opened in over 700 theaters and covered the singer’s healing journey from his long struggle with addiction and childhood trauma.
