Inspirados en la violencia, la sangre, y la guerra, Schizophrenia fue fundada en la caótica ciudad de bogota del año 2000 por Blackhammer (guitarras y voz), Evil killer (bajo) y Madness (batería), con tendientes riff al estilo Heavy metal de los 80¨s. En el año 2006 Evilkiller abandona las filas de Schizophrenia para enlistarse en el ejercito, quedando todo en manos de madness y blackhammer quienes llenos de nuevas influencias musicales le dan un toque mas agresivo a la temática de la banda; tiempo luego, Evil killer regresa esta vez cargado de nuevas ideas y con el que seria el próximo integrante del grupo, Infernal Destruction, quien tomaría la guitarra líder y le daría un sonido mas potente y veloz. A puertas del año 2008 Schizophrenia graba su primer demo titulado Holocaust, con temas entre los cuales están: executioner, asesino demencial, muerte letal y devastation como tema instrumental. Tiempo después Infernal Destruction abandona Schizophrenia para iniciar nuevos proyectos, quedando así Blackhammer como guitarra líder y rítmica, así formando lo que seria la alineación original y actual de la banda. para el 2015 graban su trabajo mas reciente - Rites Of Annihilation, el cual contiene esencia thrashmetal de los 80´s, combinadas con la crudeza y el misticismo oscuro del blackmetal dando así un sonido contundente y compacto a la agrupación.
