Shawn Mullins (born March 8, 1968 in Piedmont hospital, Atlanta, Georgia) is a singer songwriter who specializes in folk rock, Instrumental rock, and adult alternative music. Shawn's voice varies widely standing out along with his rythym acoustical, electric guitar strokes. Shawn travels with his sound man and tour manager, Big Kip Conner. Mullins's earlier work was influenced by acoustic and power-pop groups such as the Violent Femmes, The Producers and the Indigo Girls. However, his most significant and enduring influences are rock singer-songwriters like James Taylor and country musicians such as Kris Kristofferson. He is known for playing many cover songs during his live performances, including "Copperhead Road" by Steve Earle as well as introducing some lighthearted, quirky elements into his song and stage elements. Shawn Mullins released a new recording February, 2006, entitled "9th Ward Pickin Parlor."

Loved it. They were both so great. A couple of more songs together would have made a great night even better. Wait staff was clumsy and loud. 3 dropped trays (we were in the high tops near the bar in back Sold out crowd. Could have used two more from Shawn
City Winery Boston Boston, MAShow was great but wasn’t thrilled with the venue, City Winery. The chairs were very uncomfortable and the table set up crowded and in opposite direction of stage. The servers were continuously running around serving tables and blocking view of stage. Also overpriced food and drinks.
City Winery Nashville, TNShawn is the real deal. He is an absolutely amazing singer with a butter voice and an incredible song writer and storyteller too. As if that isn’t enough he is also down to earth and an all around nice human. Every show is great, every time.
Triple Door Seattle, WALast time I saw Shawn, he was performing by himself and covered a much larger number of his songs. This time he was performing with two others, which really cut into his playing his songs that I would have loved to have heard!
The Grey Eagle Asheville, NCThe June 22 event was magical. It was my first time to hear Shawn perform a live show. Shawn is a musician song artist that I am now adding to my play list. Perfect performance at a gorgeous venue. Loved it!!!
