Il progetto Scoop nasce a Foligno nel 2014 ad opera del bassista Vincenzo Romano. Dopo l'avvicendarsi di vari componenti, il gruppo, formatosi inizialmente con l'obiettivo di affrontare insieme lo studio di generi come il jazz, il funk e la fusion, ha successivamente raggiunto l'attuale line-up composta dal sestetto: Irene Celli (sax e flauto), Nicola d'Oronzo (tastiere), Andrea Mariottini (batteria e percussioni), Pierluigi Nalli (chitarra), Lorenzo Pontini (trombone) e Vincenzo Romano (basso elettrico e fretless). La band è inoltre risultata vincitrice di alcuni concorsi musicali locali. Il gruppo propone repertori vari che spaziano tra il funk, il jazz ed il blues passando per varie rivisitazioni di alcuni classici dei suddetti generi; sono in fase di preparazione anche alcuni inediti. Al momento sono in esecuzione un tributo all'artista Marcus Miller ed un repertorio che ripercorre la storia della Musica Funk.
