Having released their debut EP “Hearth” through indie label Birds Robe Records in August of 2013, Teal have since been touring the east coast of Australia, supporting bands like Twelve Foot Ninja, The Butterfly Effect, Dead Letter Circus and Sleepmakeswaves. After a big 2013, Teal are set to keep impressing with new material, an updated live show and all the energy they can muster. Taking influences from artists like Queens of the Stone Age, Radiohead, Coldplay and Massive Attack, Teal hope to inject life into their already massive sound, and create something that can be appreciated and cherished by any fan of live music. “We really hope we can make the second CD something special, and something that we can look back on to inspire us down the track” - Joe Surgey - Vocals Teal are currently writing new material for their second EP (yet to be named), having had such success with Hearth the boys are pouring heart and soul into their second release, and promising to be the next exciting band to come out of Australia in 2014. “Keep an eye out for TEAL because I have a feeling you’re going to be standing in front of them at many more gigs to come.” - Robyn Morrison - SFmedia “I think it’s safe to say that Teal are definitely on their way up. Watch this space” Emma Dean - Push to Fire “Debut EP Hearth has showed what Teal can do, but to see them live is another story” - Maria Katsiotis - TheDwarf.com.au “This EP is just the start – I’m really excited to see where they go next.” Mike Solo - Head of Birds Robe Records Sydney based alternative rock band
