Taking visceral emotion to fuel the blistering power of their uncut social commentaries and vindicating expositions on mental illness, addiction, despair, dissatisfaction, and loneliness, The Virginmarys' trademark surpasses their unsparing sonic signature. With mainlined agitated soul running deep in the veins of their protestive punk/grunge/blues/rock amalgam, the intuitively volatile synergy between the duo, consisting of guitarist/vocalist Ally Dickaty and drummer Danny Dolan, has reached cult and coveted status since their integrity first bleed onto the airwaves in 2010. Immune to the thrill of cheap success and the appeal of contorting their ideology around trends, inversely, The Virginmarys became one of the most wildly respected artists of this era. Their commitment to veracious lyricism has seen their verses resonate ink-deep with their international fanbase, which stretches far beyond their hometown in Macclesfield, UK, across Australia, Canada, America, Japan, India, South America, and Europe. With three critically acclaimed albums in their discography, live performances lauded by Slash, collaborations with Frank Turner, #3 position on the Billboard New Artist Alternative Chart and praise from the Rolling Stone, their diverse appeal has amplified their life-affirming message of 'Peace Love Truth Music'. Having played with Queens Of The Stoneage, been championed by Slash and collaborated on stage with Frank Turner, goes a little way to showing the diverse appeal of their music. After releasing 3 critically acclaimed albums playing as a trio, Ally and Danny have decided to take on the next phase of the band as a power duo and this tour will be the first chance to see them in this format.

Virginmarys were excellent as usual. Artisan Tap is a quirky establishment with small lounge, courtyard area, main gig room and a back room with a second stage. Real ale and live music, cant be beaten.
Artisan Tap Stoke-on-Trent, United KingdomWhat a brilliant support act to the Sisters of Mercy. The volume from only two people was outstanding. Full of energy. Would def see this band again.
NX Newcastle Newcastle upon Tyne, United KingdomGreat band , great night. They just get on with it and their energy is infectious. As for the venue one of my favourites.
The Bullingdon Oxford, United KingdomGritty, crunchy melodies by a band consisting of two outstanding musicians who sound more like four on stage. An impressive, stirring, and high-spirited performance!
Råhuset København, DenmarkOne of the best live bands out there, what a show and as always The Ferret Preston is a legendary venue - 10/10
