The Word Alive formed in 2008 out of Phoenix Arizona, since then and having relocated to Nashville Tennessee the band has toured throughout the world dominating stages and festivals across the globe. With 7 studio albums, 1 ep, a gold single and a renewed passion with lineup Telle Smith, Jose DelRio, Logan Abernethy and Devin Attard the band are showing that the best is yet to come. Currently writing album number 8, performing at Warped Tour Orlando and finishing 2025 out in Europe and the UK supporting Caskets. They put on the best concert of my life with Ekoh, Catch Your Breath & From Ashes to New as the headliner. This band did so good with crowd work and really setting the tone for the show! They put everything they had into their set like they were the headliners. Slow Burn was a bucket list song, so im very happy I was there to see it! I hope they come back again as Headliners so I can see them!
The Machine Shop Flint, MISaw these guys twice last week and although they are very talented and entertains live I’m not overly fussed with hearing anything off their album Dark Matter, just can’t get into it and would love to hear more songs off of their far superior album Real as only got Play the Victim and Lighthouse in London and neither of those at Slamdunk. Violent Noise seems a god offering though. Will definitely check them again in the future.
Slam Dunk Festival Hatfield, United KingdomTWA might be the most underrated band in the world. Every live show I’ve ever attended has been crisp and full of energy with the Richmond performance being no different. Aside from on stage attributes, they seem to really care about their fans. All 4 members stayed late and signed autographs for each and every person that wanted one. I will continue to support The Word Alive for as long as they exist. 5 stars.
The Canal Club Richmond, VAThese guys are the real deal! Such great performers, so genuine and down to earth, they clearly love what they are doing and care about connecting with their fans. They even brought my 7 & 9 year old kids up on stage for a couple songs! And they took the time to time meet us and take a picture after the show. They have a couple lifetime fans right here! See you guys again in April!
Varsity Theater Minneapolis, MNThey mainly played a lot of new stuff. Which isn’t the best but not the worst either. I’m more of the old school the word alive from warped tour days. Those days were the best. I’ve seen them live 3 times and they always put on a great show. Only if they would mix it up and play new and old songs. Then it would have been a better show.
