Walter Trout (born 1951 in Ocean City, New Jersey) is a blues guitarist and front man of Walter Trout and the Radicals. Trout's career began on the Jersey coast scene of the late 60's and early 70's that jump started the career of artists like Bruce Springsteen. He then decided to relocate to Los Angeles where he became a sideman for such artists as Percy Mayfield and Deacon Jones. He also worked in the bands of John Lee Hooker and Joe Tex. In 1981 be became the guitarist for blues rock band Canned Heat. This led to an invitation to play in John Mayall's Bluesbreakers where he shared the stage with guitarist Coco Montoya. He left the Bluesbreakers in 1989 and formed the Walter Trout Band which developed a successful following in Europe. In 1998 Trout released his self-titled domestic debut CD and renamed his band Walter Trout and the Free Radicals (later renamed Walter Trout and the Radicals). Since that time Trout has been recording and touring both in North America and in Europe.

The Boardwalk is a great venue, the staff is committed to bringing its patrons an enjoyable time out. Walter Trout and his all-star band killed it. Loved seeing his son John following his dad's path as they shared the stage. Don't know why I haven't been to the Boardwalk until last night, I've passed it hundreds of times without giving it a thought. I love this venue and will be returning.
The Boardwalk Orangevale, CAWalter is always great! So much talent but never takes himself too seriously. Just a guy having a great time, sharing his gift with the world. What a show! And Happy 75th birthday to you! Also, the venue was incredible. A small 500 or so seat theater attached to a record store, built solely for showcasing live music at an affordable price. Support World Records In Bakersfield. They deserve it!!!

Rialto Theatre Tucson, AZWalter Trout was excellent at the Siren ! We saw Walter a year and a half ago on the Keeping the Blues Alive cruise in Greece. He had a completely different band . Walter always puts on a great show and had great stories about his life trails and tribulations he’s a survivor and that’s Why he can play the Blues and Rock so well! 🎸🥁🎹⭐️😎
The Siren Morro Bay, CAGreat Show, great performance, excellent band performance. I stood right in front of the pa. The echo was terrible. I can send you the recordings ( and movies) to prove it. Especially disturbing were the drums. The audio tester should check his ears if he didn’t notice the echo’s (or delay in amplifications).
