About Walter Trout
Walter Trout (born 1951 in Ocean City, New Jersey) is a blues guitarist and front man of Walter Trout and the Radicals.
Trout's career began on the Jersey coast scene of the late 60's and early 70's that jump started the career of artists like Bruce Springsteen. He then decided to relocate to Los Angeles where he became a sideman for such artists as Percy Mayfield and Deacon Jones. He also worked in the bands of John Lee Hooker and Joe Tex.
In 1981 be became the guitarist for blues rock band Canned Heat. This led to an invitation to play in John Mayall's Bluesbreakers where he shared the stage with guitarist Coco Montoya. He left the Bluesbreakers in 1989 and formed the Walter Trout Band which developed a successful following in Europe.
In 1998 Trout released his self-titled domestic debut CD and renamed his band Walter Trout and the Free Radicals (later renamed Walter Trout and the Radicals). Since that time Trout has been recording and touring both in North America and in Europe.

Never seen Walter before ex old clips on you tube etc so didn’t know what to really expect but wow!! What a character as well as a superb guitarist and band- loved it- just music without lights or too many effects- raw heavy bluesy- will definitely go to see him on his next tour

2 full hours of great music from one of the greatest blues writers, guitarist and singer of our time.

A fantastic, musical, emotional, piece of entertainment with great songs! Mr. Trout himself played as if he could pull the stars out of heaven.
Also a great band behind him and for 2:45 hours they played as if the devil sat behind the stage! The audience was overwhelming!
A must see!

Voller Energie hat Walter dieses Konzert bestritten und man nimmt ihm die Aussage ab, dass er jeden Tag geniesst, egal wo er ist. Seine Krankheitsgeschichte und wie er sich wieder ins (Musiker-)Leben zurück gekämpft hat ist beeindruckend. Mit seiner hochkarätigen Band hat er das Z7 gerockt!

Another fabulous show! Seems like I only go to 5 ⭐️ shows!! Walter and his band “Knocked It Out of the Park!” Walter is a living legend! A Must See!! His Richard’s Blues was a Highlight and Just Before Dawn was as soulful as it gets! Awesome!!
