En 1994, Ben - pas encore Yellow - découvre la folk avec l'album Welcome to the Cruel World de Ben Harper, une révélation. C'est la découverte d'un genre, d'un état d'esprit, mais aussi de la Lap Steel (guitare des années 30 qui se joue assis, posée sur les genoux) et d'une nouvelle manière de jouer. Après dix années passées derrière la batterie dans un groupe de reggae, Ben devient Yellow et la carrière devient solo. Le folk, lui, va parfaire un univers original et exigeant. Yellow compose, écrit et interprète une musique délicate et brute, à la manière de Cocoon, Feist, Patrick Watson, Valerie June ou encore Bon Iver. Son aventure de batteur reggae l'influence dans ses textes, les messages sont positifs, l'espoir et le désir d'unité sont là. Rejoint par #MissVero sur scène en 2013, il passe régulièrement d'un bar toulousain à un appartement parisien, pour enchainer dans une église ou un lavomatique. Il poursuit maintenant son aventure avec l'arrivée d'un second EP, brut et engagé, sortie en Avril 2015. Yellow vous promet encore de jolis moments.
