original line up formed in 1983 by singer nick richards. disbanded in 1989 after 3 albums. had a number one hit 1n 1986 with i wanna be a cowboy. new line up put together in 2009 to join up with the lost 80s concert tours. a brand new album was released in august of 2025 called 4PLAY boys don't cry will be on the lost 80s tour NEXT summer . THEY ARE NOT THE CURE TRIBUTE BAND also calling themselves boys don't cry. a brand new merch store is available on there spotify page. Richards has formed a new record label called HEADGAMES and the entire boys don't cry catalogue has been re mastered and re packaged .
