Melbourne-based trio Khan meld hazy psychedelia with heavy stoner riffs and a penchant for progressive rhythms and almost dirge-like crescendos. Their songs are deeply evocative, often exuding strong visceral reactions fluctuating from a sense of haunting melancholy to immense empyreal awe. Vocally, they waver from ethereal falsetto and hypnotic crooning to impassioned wailing punctuated by occasional guttural screams. Khan released their critically acclaimed fourth studio album, 'That Fair and Warlike Form // Return to Dust', in October 2025 through Full Contact Safari Records. It is a concept album comprised of two 23-minute songs that explore the suffering of a man possessed by the spirit of the god of death, Erlik (Turkic/Mongolian mythology).
