About Melvins

The Melvins are one of modern music’s most influential bands. Having formed in 1983 in Montesano, Washington, the group founded by singer/guitar player Buzz Osborne (with stalwart drummer Dale Crover joining the following year), has been credited with merging the worlds of punk rock and heavy music, forming a new subgenre all its own. Over the band’s 40-year history, they’ve released 30-plus original albums, numerous live full-lengths and far too many to count singles and rarities. In the course of their discography, they've partnered with Jello Biafra, Mudhoney, and Fantômas for individual releases and toured the world many times over. In fact, the band had the misfortune to be in both Christchurch and Tokyo for their 2011 earthquakes. In 2012, the Melvins completed the “51 States in 51 Days” (50 states +DC) tour, which was chronicled in the film “Across The USA in 51 Days.” The current incarnation of the band is Osborne, Crover, and Steven McDonald (Redd Kross/OFF!). Previous line-ups include a pairing of Osborne and Crover with Big Business band members Jared Warren and Coady Willis, a four-piece featuring the current trio plus Butthole Surfers’ Jeff Pinkus, as well as Melvins Lite, which partners Osborne and Crover with Mr. Bungle’s Trevor Dunn. Sometimes, if you’re extra lucky, one version of the Melvins will open for the Melvins.

Love the Melvins! Long time fan. Was an incredible show. The Melvins are rock and rolls best kept secret they are a national treasure. People say the Ramones had the wall of sound that hit you that was unique to them. Ive seen both bands. The Melvins create the wall of sound as well, they are a band you need to see live.

Dude fucking nuts. Got knocked down several times and had a tiny ass dude pic me up by my shirt collar and scream “ KEEP MOSHING”. First real metal show and it was fucking worth it. Was disappointed at first cause know one was doing anything but stare at them, until they played honey bucket. All hell broke loose after that.

Incredible show. One of my bucket list bands. COVID did in a nearby show so jumped on this. Long overdue. Lots of signed merch and other goodies. I didn’t drink but feel like I have a hangover. Punched me in the face that hard. Mr Phzzz hope I spelled it right kicked ass as well. Don’t hesitate. Go get tickets.

Great show, Coady was pretty awesome fill in for Dale. Dale get well soon! Boris melted my ears with double Orange stacks, when you feel your drink vibrate in your hand, you know it's pretty loud! I was not as familiar with them, but found them to be an awesome mix of sludge and punk rock.

It was everything I was expecting it to be! I’ve been wanting to see both these bands for many years now so it was really nice to see them at the same time, the venue was very nice, the staff was cool as hell, I look forward to coming here again for some more heavy metal listening.
