Celebrate the legendary sounds of Nirvana & Kurt Cobain with Chicago's grungiest tribute to Nirvana "Smells Like Nirvana" as they perform songs from Nevermind, In Utero, Bleach, and more (b sides/rare songs). Make a song request at smellslikenirvanatribute.com Smells Like Nirvana is composed of seasoned pros and die-hard-fans of Nirvana fronted by Paul Wandtke (ex Trivium, Dead Original), drummer Benny “Boomba” Piazza and Mike Petrasek (Bedlem). Their live tribute to Nirvana is a haunting episode of grunge filled angst playing songs from Nirvana's albums Bleach, Nevermind, In Utero and MTV Unplugged as well as rare b-sides and more; played without click tracks or backing tracks, a trait that is rare in today’s contemporary musical landscape, a trait and philosophy that Nirvana lived by. "The first demo I ever owned was of Nirvana! Nirvana is the reason I got into music. I’ll never forget the songs Smells Like Teen Spirit and Even in His Youth, they changed my life forever. ~paul wandtke

Fun show! The “opening band” Dead Original, original music from the same guys who are the Nirvana tribute band, was great as well. I have been following both bands on social media for a few years and have been waiting for them to come back to Ramona, as I missed them the first time they came thru
Ramona Mainstage Ramona, CAreally solid show overall, they sounded great. my only issue is the way they performed polly… they were like celebrating it and having everyone clap along…like, do they even know what that song is about? i get that its a concert and is supposed to be hype but that just didnt sit well with me.
The Hawthorn St. Louis, MOAwesome, I didn’t realize Smells Like Nirvana and Dead Original were the same guys but they both kicked ass. Seven Foot Monkey was pretty cool too. My wife, son and I all had a great time and will definitely see these guys the next time they come to town.
Diamond Ballroom Oklahoma City, OKGreat show, sound and atmosphere. The venue is cool, drinks cold and the band was interactive . Loved the vibe. Thanks to MAGA! “ Make America Grunge Again” Looling forward the the tour bus and attending their concert when they come back. City Winery is worthy venue and restaurant.
City Winery Philadelphia Philadelphia, PAMy wife and a I enjoyed both the original music of Dead Original and the Nirvana covers by Smells like Nirvana. We can no longer see Nirvana unfortunately so this was the next closest thing!
