Soul Asylum
Soul Asylum has been inspiring an incredible level of passion for their music since 1981, when the band, initially known as Loud Fast Rules, formed in Minneapolis. The band's raucous live sets and early releases on the hometown indie label Twin/Tone —including the albums Say What You Will, Made to Be Brokenand While You Were Out —earned it a loyal fan base and widespread critical acclaim.Soul Asylum's indie success led to the band entering the major-label mainstream with 1988's Hang Timeand its 1990 follow-up And the Horse They Rode In On, and achieving a platinum-level commercial breakthrough with 1992's Grave Dancers Union (3x platinum)and 1995's Let Your Dim Light Shine. Was a little bummed at first that they had to go acoustic due to covid, but Dave and Ryan sounded great and was able to rock out and get the crowd singing our hearts out and air playing drums. Was great fun but I can't wait to hear them LOUD and FAST Soon!

So glad I found out that Soul Asylum were touring and I got to see a band I first got into 30 years ago. Dave's vocals were still just as good, and a tight band that put on a great show. Really enjoyed it and look forward to hopefully seeing them again.

I would make it a 5 if the tornado and rain didn't cut the show short after 8 songs. But they were on fire. It was one of their best shows! It wasn't their fault they had to stop due to the weather. I hope they come back soon.

They were as good as I’ve ever seen them - and I’ve seen them over 5 times. They had a varied playlist of songs I don’t remember them playing live before. But also a good array of older hits and it was just a great show.

Music was awesome, however venue security should have addressed a dangerous dog on property before the third band got on as the dog was growling and being vicious from before the show even started. Anyone could see it was not a trained support animal.
