Now, the North Dakota-born duo deliver their most definitive statement yet on their sophomore album Country & Midwestern—a captivating body of work rooted in the grit and perseverance instilled in Kendra Olson and Krista Slaubaugh since childhood. Centered on their timeless brand of Country that reflects their admiration for female voices and girl groups of the early aughts, the 15-song LP strikes an irresistible balance of down-to-earth humor and tender sensitivity in its candid reflection on love, womanhood, ambition, and the neverending work of building a good life. Whether they're serving up a shout-along anthem or deeply confessional ballad, Tigirlily Gold light up each track with the singular mix of warmth, sass, and sisterly honesty they first tapped into upon forming the duo as teenagers. After amassing a devoted grassroots following, Olson and Slaubaugh moved to Nashville in 2017 and cut their teeth playing four-hour sets multiple nights a week on the Broadway circuit, eventually inking their first record deal. Released in 2024, their acclaimed debut album Blonde featured the Top 40 hits “Shoot Tequila” and “I Tried A Ring On,” paving the way for elite milestones like winning the ACM Award for New Duo of the Year, garnering a host of nominations from the CMT Awards and People's Choice Country Awards, performing on major TV shows like NBC's TODAY, and earning praise from Billboard, American Songwriter, Vulture, Forbes, and more. They were named an Opry NextStage artist, MusicRow Next Big Thing, CMT Next Women of Country, and are official ambassadors for their home state of North Dakota.
